The Enrollment Process
STEP 1️⃣: Complete the online application and submit on time by midnight on February 28, 2025. This is entrance for the student into the lottery draw process, if one is needed. Applications submitted after the due date will be added to the end of the list/waitlist in the order received. Again, in-district students will get priority above out-of-district students, even if timestamp is earlier.
STEP 2️⃣: All students (including family members) who have applied and are selected for an available seat for the incoming freshman class, will participate in an in-person interview with the Staff and Administration. Letters for these interviews will be mailed out the week of March 10, 2025 and interviews will take place between March 24th and April 17th.
STEP 3️⃣: Review, acknowledge, and submit the Commitment Acknowledgement by April 25, 2025 by midnight.

Upon completion of all steps during the enrollment process and a commitment decision from the family and student, a letter of confirmation will be mailed out the week of April 25, 2025. Students who did not get selected in the first group of available seats using the lottery draw, if one is needed, will receive a letter of notification and be put on a waiting list. Should openings become available, students will be notified in the order the student's name was drawn in the lottery and be provided next steps in their enrollment process. We will continue to pull from the waitlist as openings become available until August 15, 2025.

Please Note
Hill Country College Preparatory High School with Northeast Lakeview College (HCCPHS) is one of Comal ISD's Schools of Choice. The open lottery process for incoming freshmen will be based on available seats to meet the requirements of the 2025-26 PTECH High School Commitments and building capacity. We will continue to accept applications from out-of-district students; however, students within the Comal ISD attendance zone will have first priority. All student applications will be accepted. Should the number of applications exceed available seats in the current freshman class, all applications will be entered into the lottery process for selection.
