Welcome to HCCPHS! It is my pleasure to be the principal of Hill Country College Prep and I am so excited to share our future with you! I will be starting my 20th year in education, and 10th year in administration in Comal ISD in 2023-2024 as we celebrate our first graduating class. After earning my bachelor's degree in Agricultural Communications and a Journalism minor at Texas Tech University, I had had the privilege to teach English/ Language Arts and serve as a Campus Instructional Coach for 10 years. I went on to earn my master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington before going into administration. It has been an exciting journey to be a part of many different feeder patterns within our school district and to be a part of this community for so many years. As a mom of four daughters, also students in CISD, we are are invested as a family and truly believe in what we are doing as a district. As the principal of HCCPHS, it brings me great joy to see our Falcons working hard each and every day to reach their potential and beyond. Through project-based learning, our students are able to gain real-world connections to their content and go more in depth with their understanding and application and truly prepare for their futures after high school. Hello! The 23-24 school year will be my 15th year in education, and my 2nd in administration. After beginning my career in Virginia, I moved back to Texas and was lucky enough to join the faculty of CISD. I have now been in the district for five years and feel incredibly lucky and grateful to have landed at HCCPHS! I received my Bachelors degree and a Master in the Arts of Teaching from James Madison University, and recently graduated with a Master in Educational Leadership from Texas State. At Hill Country, I am the Academic Dean, Behavior Coordinator, and Testing Coordinator. Please do not hesitate to reach out if there is anything that I can do to assist you.
